Mavroula is around 2 years old. She was dumped at one of our small safe spaces after coming from a very difficult past, where she learned to fear humans — especially men.
She has now been in our care for almost nine months, and during this time she has made quiet but meaningful progress. With the people she knows and trusts, Mavroula is beginning to relax and show the gentle, beautiful dog she truly is.
Mavroula will need a calm, patient, and understanding person — someone who is willing to give her the time and space she needs and let her build trust at her own pace. With the right person, we are certain she will continue to blossom into a deeply loyal and affectionate companion.
She will likely always be a little shy and reserved, but for someone who understands sensitive dogs, Mavroula will be incredibly rewarding. She is looking for a special human who can show her that not all people are bad, and that she is finally safe.
