Our network

For our work as animal rights activists, it is just as true as for other charitable commitments that success depends on how good your network is. Maintaining and expanding this network is one of our ongoing tasks.

For years we have been working closely with other animal welfare organisations in Germany and abroad. Some of these contacts have come about more by chance, others through joint animal transports or similar points of contact.

We are constantly in contact especially with a veterinary practice based in Kalamata, which has a branch in Stoupa, but we also work with several other veterinarians in Kalamata and the surrounding area. We can be found on Face-book and YouTube and consider ourselves lucky that we can count on volunteer, active members all over the world who keep our social media content up to date.

It is becoming increasingly clear to us that we can only work successfully if we are in contact with people who, like us, are primarily interested in supporting and helping, without ado. Who sometimes drop everything to take care of an emergency. Who sacrifice part of their night’s rest to post a newly found animal as soon as possible. Who hang on in endless telephone loops to secure the coveted seat on an aero-plane for the adopted dog …

Regardless of personal likes or dislikes, our collaboration is based on tolerance and openness, person to person, to ensure a happy future for the animals entrusted to us. And we have all experienced it, that unbelievable feeling of happiness when once again an animal is safe, and when the pictures arrive, convincing us completely that this dog or cat is looking forward to a happy future…
